Ramiro Gonzales was executed in Texas on June 26, 2024 for the kidnapping, rape and murder of Bridget Townsend. This followed a stay of execution in 2022.
“Ramiro spent more than half of his life with the threat of execution looming over him, and it was absolutely his faith in God that got him through that,” says Rev. Bri-anne Swan, his friend and spiritual advisor, who was by his side when he was executed.
