An Important Update About Broadview’s Publishing Schedule
Dear friends,
We want to share an important update about Broadview’s print publishing schedule.
Beginning in fall 2025, Broadview will transition to an annual subscription model featuring six print issues in 2026.
This decision follows thoughtful discernment and reflects our commitment to long-term sustainability. Rising printing, postage and production costs — intensified by last year’s postal strike and this year’s U.S. tariff threats — have made this change necessary.
But more than that, it’s a purposeful move: we’re delivering solutions-based journalism for future generations. We have ambitious goals so we’re not pulling back; we’re planting deeper roots. And with your support, we’ll continue to grow.
Group reps — please check your mailbox. We’re sending you a revised renewal timeline with everything you need to know.
We will honour the full value of every subscription, fulfilling all remaining issues you’ve already paid for.
As you may know, subscriptions cover only about 20% of our annual costs, and our grant from The United Church of Canada now makes up less than 2%. That’s why we rely on the generosity of donors, partners and committed readers like you.
As we make this transition, we’re doubling down on what matters most: delivering award-winning, solutions-based journalism rooted in faith, spiritual depth and a call to justice. You make that possible.
If you believe in the power of independent, progressive Christian media, now is the time to act.
Subscribe to ensure Broadview’s voice remains strong.
